Truth in Packaging Can Be Deceptive

Take a closer look at what a package of aloe vera is saying, and then realize it is not what they want you to assume they're saying!
The big 99% sign on the Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gelly does not mean that the bottle contains 99% aloe vera--it means that whatever is in the bottle is 99% "organic". There are plenty of other ingredients in there besides aloe vera! In small print under "99%", it says "certified organic"--which doesn't mean much. The company wants you to assume that their bottle contains 99% aloe vera.

Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera is not 100% aloe. It is 100% GEL! And couldn't we determine that by just looking at the gelatinous compound through the semi-transparent tube? It also says "Pure." Pure what?

The two products featured here are actually very good to have in the house, for irritations of the skin. Despite the additional ingredients, the aloe vera component really does help to heal wounds.
